testing, testing

eating

beef curry ramen

I am quite happy with my new camera. Ended up going with the Nikon D5000 which has a video feature! I want the 35mm f/1.8G AF-S DX lens but that can wait for now. At the moment I'm just glad that I have a working camera. Today I went to eat ramen with my mom for lunch and pho with my dad for dinner. No major shopping for me today other than motorcycle boots from Anthropologie and some make up. Birthday party at home tomorrow, then my actual birthday in the Bay! Can't wait to see what surprises BF has in store :3

I am looking into getting a digital SLR.

The photos look great. How you find the Nikon D5000 so far? Did you have a different SLR before this one?

I've never owned a DSLR, just a film SLR so I'm very new to this :)

Oh my gosh, what you're eating looks so good. I can't tell if that's ramen or pho, but whatever, I still want Vietnamese pho. Yum. Yay for your new camera! :)

Happy birthday! Your hair looks lovely, I wish I could get mine to be silky like that :(
Re: the camera, what kind of lens did you use with your film SLR? I've got my eye on a 1980s Canon AE1, and am not sure what I should ask for to go with it.

Also that pic of your face a few posts down makes you look a bit like Daisy Lowe (I mean this as a compliment, I think she's adorable)

So lucky in terms of both the camera and the food ha. Those boots also sound sick. On the subject of boots, I am reluctantly parting with a pair of sick vintage red leather boots which can basically be worn by anyone ranging from sizes 7.5-8.5. Anyone interested is welcome to check them out on my blog.

Happy Birthday!
Is that ramen in the bay area or the SGV? I'd love yr ramen recommendations for the bay area as it is one of my favorite dishes. I really love Shin-Sen-Gumi in Rosemead. Have you been?

Natalie / Fashion Intel said...

PS After further review of the photo, I see you went to Ajisen on Valley. Are you a fan? If you're still in the area I highly recommend Shin-Sen-Gumi down the street and you'll probably love this blog http://www.rameniac.com/

Nice photo. Nikon D5000 is a good camera for the price. It is simple to use and takes clear, crisp pictures. Also, the battery life is good. And the price makes it affordable to take good pictures.
