portland day one

walkingoutfit
vintage pullover, old cut off shorts, vintage boots, fjallraven bag

Since it's National Coffee Day, I'll start with these photos from Stumptown in Portland (which is actually attached to the Ace Hotel, next time I want to stay there). I had their coffee every day I was there, it was so addictive. I even brought home a bag of their Hair Bender blend for BF which we enjoyed this morning before driving over to work. Mikey and I came across this location when we wandered around downtown trying to figure out what to do and chatted with the super friendly barista who gave us helpful tips and ideas about where to go (try doing that at Ritual in SF where the workers are sour and rude). Their coffee is way better anyway.

Look at me, I'm wearing shorts! The Bay Area is currently experiencing a nasty heat wave and it seemed like Portland was feeling some of it too. I had been wearing pants on the flight but had to change into shorts when I couldn't take the heat.

I know you live in the bay area, have you tried Philz Coffee yet? They just opened one in Berkeley and they are from San Francisco... They are addicting and have amazing blends.

Oh, that's funny - our hotel was right across the street as well but I found a different local coffee house (a bunch of places in Brooklyn already sell Stumptown so I felt like branching out).

Love the swearer. I've been trying to find on like it. BUT OK the fact that you went to Stumptown coffee in Portland is too perfect! haha did you know that the city of Portland was considering naming itself Stumptown instead? Anyway I'm not a coffee drinker myself but if I were ever to begin.....it would only be for Stumptown (:

I wanna go back to Portland because, last time I went, I seemed to catch it on its bad day. People were incredibly racist! I've heard so many good things about Portland, but it did not get on my good side when I went. I don't know when I'll be back, it's such a long drive, but hopefully people will be a little nicer.

Here's a bit of a warning though, these photos will make you extra hungry! Luckily for you, all these places are just a walk away :)
