baker beach

baker beach

This is what a beach in San Francisco looks like, where the closer you get to the coast the more foggy and freezing cold it gets. We thought it would be cute but didn't expect this weather in Juky, Still a nice date nevertheless. Brenty made custom sandwiches (mine had smoked salmon, havarti, avocado, and other goodies) and we tried our best to enjoy the scenery while we froze our asses off. The journey to and from there on public transportation was probably twice as long.

(pssssst, a couple random notes: my nails are Chanel Lilac Sky, boater hat is from Forever 21, and the sunglasses are those same vintage ones that I always wear... cheers!)

I also got new shoes last weekend. Almost bought them on Bluefly the day before for much more but got insanely lucky at the Barneys sale in San Francisco with the LAST ONE in my size. Maybe it was meant to be, as Lulu pointed out. It felt really nice to finally get the shoes that I'd been wanting for so long with money that I made on my own and did a really good job of saving instead of spending it on random clothes. Feels good man.

Also, my team is in the final! That damn octopus, he was actually right. Thanks to everyone who stuck around for my tweets and obsession, hehe. I never lost hope and it feels rewarding to know that they finally made it. Germany played amazingly throughout the tournament and I was sad to see them go. I'm nervous about Sunday, let's hope I don't have a panic attack like I did during the Paraguay game...

That's such a sweet idea - I've had the same thing happen when attempting to go to the beach although it's really only ever 5-10 minutes travel where I live.

I have that nail polish and love it, it is one of my faves - and re: the Miu Mius, you're making me regret my decision from Bluefly - I tossed between getting those or the dark brown leather, and got the dark brown on the assumption I would get the suede JC's.. which I have now opted not to! Whoopsies.

I remember how amazed I was the first time I travelled up the West Coast to San Francisco. Living in France I had always pictures California the L.A. way, sun, palmetos and over tanned California Girls. But there is something much more moving about California. San Francisco and its foggy weather to start with. And Big Sur... Thanks for reminding me of it :)

i can understand you...two weeks ago it was unexpectedly cold here. however your pics are stunning! i love the first one (and your accessories are to die for!!!)

Great pics! Adore those shoes. Congrats on having Spain in the final! I live the host country, South Africa and most of my friends are supporting Spain. I was lucky enough to watch the Portugual vs Korea DPR game, so I completely understand your world cup obsession.

It's funny you know about the octopus. I never knew he was that famous (actually I first heard about him on tuesday). Congrats! Though I'm sad that Germany lost - I would have loved to see them play (well, win!) against the Netherlands.

The shoes are amazing! Can I ask you how much they cost you?

I was one of those that was wondering what all the fuss was about with the world cup but got really into it. Unfortunately on my side of the world it was really late (or early) for most of the games so could only watch a few. Germany has been playing tremendously well, I can just imagine how scary it would be to play them!

Oh my goodness. Those shoes are incredible! I love shopping for myself after working hard and saving money. After 6 months of saving last year I went NUTS when I went to Sydney in January.
