Well guys, I did it. I took the plunge and accepted a blog related challenge. I partnered up with Hudson and Nordstrom to style an outfit and participate in their contest on Facebook! Unfortunately it started raining the day I decided to photograph the outfit but I kept the sunglasses on and looked like an idiot anyway. I get a lot of comments asking why I wear sunglasses in every post (Blair and I bonded over this once, haha) and the only thing I can say is that I'm almost always in sunglasses whenever I go outside. I guess it's a safety blanket type thing, I don't know.
So yes, here's my look. Nothing too different from what I usually wear, haha. I'd really, really appreciate it if everyone took the time to vote for me in this contest (you can vote once a day)! I never do things like these so it would be amazing to win but I wouldn't be able to do it without your guy's help. i enjoy reading your blog and find it one of the more endearing ones out there. it takes a lot of courage and creativity to continue cranking out posts, especially when there can be a tremendous amount of negativity directed at you. having said that, i fear you may take my constructive criticism as just that--plain (negative) criticism.
at any rate, i just wanted to express that lately your skin tone appears ashy, especially your latest post, with the orangey red lipstick. i think your lightened hair color, as beautiful and fun as it sounded to do, doesn't quite flatter your skin tone. i think you'd look much better with a different shade and/or chose other make up palettes. i know it's autumn and you live in foggy san francisco, or maybe it's your camera/photo-shopping...but, i just hate to see your typically flattering shots looks slightly off.

Wow - such cute pictures! I can't believe I just found your blog. I moved from San Fran to Paris 2 months ago, and while I adore Paris, I appreciate SF so much more now, and your photos are making me a bit homesick, in a good way.
